Attend our Pizza Party Oct. 8, 6:30 pm
On Oct. 8, mission worker, Burkhard Paetzold representing Lehigh Presbytery’s Mission Challenge 2009, will speak to Olivet’s congregation. Paetzold worked as a PC (USA) facilitator for Roma people in Central and Eastern Europe. The Roma were formerly known as “Gypsies”. He also facilitates support for partner programs, relationships and activities, as well as implementing regional strategies. He lives near Berlin in Petershagen, Germany.
Since 2003 he’s been serving as regional liaison for Central and Eastern Europe to facilitate PC (USA) support of partner programs and relationships.
The Evening Circle of Olivet will be hosting mission worker. Burkhard Paetzold. Gather at Olivet Church for Pizza on Thursday, October 8th, 2009 at 6:30 pm- -

ProJeCt of EASTON
ProJeCt’s Food Pantry needs the usual: cereal, powdered milk, canned milk, diapers (sz. new born & size 5), pancake mix and syrup, and hygienic products: (deodorant, tooth-paste, soap, shampoo, etc.) and large brown paper bags (grocery size).
Put items in Olivet’s barrel (auditorium), or take to ProJeCt, 333 Ferry St., Downtown Easton.

A profit of $400, for the first 6 months of 2009, was turned over to Olivet. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who is ordering and using SCRIP gift cards The sale of SCRIP gift cards helps Olivet’s budget deficit.
Think About It! College students might even need a car or truck rental at Avis or Budget. And moms and dads could have need to stay in hotels and or bed and break-fast facilities when getting students settled.
And Think About It! Buy gift cards for the movies NOT FOR THE KIDS, but for the parents who need a rest after a long, long summer.
Stop by the Scrip table after church! There are many more gift card opportunities.

Olivet Church has a long-standing sharing record with Safe Harbor. On the third Thursday of each month, a lunch is provided.

REDNERS’ ALERT
Redners’ stores are continuing the 1% rebate to Olivet Church and its members for store purchases.
After shopping turn in the register tapes!! PLEASE – Do not cut off the bottom of the tape.
The words “Save-A-Tape” must be on all tapes in order to be eligible for the 1% rebate of the sum of each purchase.
A big thank you to those who are now bringing in tapes with “Save-A-Tape” on the bottom.
