Let Your Light Shine

It is good to make music to your name, "O Most High", to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night".

We as stewards of God's word, are called in many different ways to respond and share the message the Bible brings.

I would first like to thank all the choir members who include: Charles and Evelyn Gulick, Nan Laberteaux, Nicole Vogel, Sue Jarrell, Amber Wilson, Dalton McGary, Katie Piatt, and Bob and Jon Rindos. Thanks to each of you for your devoted time and energy to praise God.

I want to extend an invitation to those of you who may be reading this and considering joining the choir. The commitment is small, but the reward is great. We work together as a team to prepare weekly anthems, based on scripture, with occasional brass choir or individual instrument accompaniments. With just a single hour a week of time devoted to practice, prayer, and fellowship with friends, we not only create fulfilling music, but discover comfort and security in all of our abilities to sing.

Have faith in yourself and your ability to sing as we are not here to judge, rather to support and grow in voice and love of God. What a blessing and enrichment the choir receives every time a new member joins.

Please do consider joining choir to commune and Worship through song with fellow Christians. We meet every Tuesday evening, starting September 2 from 7:30 to 8:30 PM and look forward to sharing with you. "…he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed" (Proverbs 11:25) Let your "light shine" and spirit soar in praise to God.

Yours in Christ,
Matthew Silvius, Director of Music
