Fellowship Hall Repairs
One day last winter or fall; our basement was flooded leaving many of the floor tiles downstairs very loose and dangerous. The Property Team decided it was best to remove them – not a do-it-yourself task since the tiles contained asbestos.
The tiles have been removed at considerable cost and the floor will have to be redone. Thus as you may have noticed, Olivet has had several fund raisers this year to help us offset the costs. Thus far we have held one luncheon after church, sold Pizzas and sold “Jo’s Cookie Pops.” We have also had several very generous donations from members. To date we have raised $3,437.50. There is a lot of work yet that needs to be done and there will be more fundraisers in Olivet’s future.
