Camp Brainerd
Any of you who have been at church since November know that we have been collecting money to support Camp Brainerd through our dollar a week program. Thus far we have forwarded $275 towards this effort and we will continue this collection through November this year.
On Sunday, April 18, Jen Henshue, the Director of Camping Ministry will be our guest in worship. She is not coming to ask for more money. She is here to tell us about the up-coming Summer Camping Season. She will be visiting our Sunday School and will lead in worship during the time with the children. She will be available to answer questions about the camping ministry at Brainerd after the service.
Mission
The Lehigh Presbytery and several churches in the Presbytery have a partnership with churches in Romania. Such partnerships afford us to see how the church is doing its mission in countries different from our own. Twice, Kim Ward has traveled to Romania and has shared her experience with us at church. This summer she will be traveling there again, but she will not be the only member of Olivet to go. Dalton McGary has been selected by Worldwide Ministries Team to accompany Kim and others in this experience. Many of you know Dalton. He and his family have been active members at Olivet. Dalton graduated from Easton High School in 2009 and will be attending Kutztown University in the fall.
On Sunday, June 6, there will be a luncheon (free-will offering) after church to raise money to offset incidental costs (meals, etc.). Dalton has already raised $1,100 to help cover transportation costs. If you are able, please plan on joining us for this meal and become a supporter of Dalton and the Worldwide Ministries Team of Presbytery in this mission trip.
